2025-09-26 - New feature to give one or more participations in promotions that require scanning a dynamic QR code Follow
In promotions created in the Premium or White Label versions, the administrator can restrict participation to users who have scanned a QR code shared at the brand’s physical store, thus allowing participation to be limited to users who have visited the point of sale in person, or to customers who have made a purchase.
For greater security, it is also possible to enable the option to generate dynamic QR codes, which allows the generation of single-use QR codes to restrict the promotion’s mechanics to customers validated by employees at the physical store.
Until now, each scanned QR code corresponded to a single participation by the end user. To expand the functionalities available at Points of Sale, a new option has been added for the employee who shows the QR code to the customers they want to grant access to the promotion: the option to select the number of participations they want to grant each user.
In this way, the store employee will be able to indicate the number of additional participations they wish to give each customer, which will result in extra entries in the stage. The user will then scan the QR code from their mobile device to be able to participate one or several times.
Example Use Case:
A store wants to encourage purchases and reward customer loyalty through a "Prize Wheel" promotion. Each time a customer makes a purchase, they get a chance to spin the wheel based on the amount spent.
How it works:
- For every €100 spent in the store, the customer receives one entry to spin the Wheel.
- The employee at the checkout verifies the total purchase amount and manually assigns the number of entries the customer is entitled to (for example, if a customer spends €250, they receive 2 entries).
- After scanning the QR code, the user can access the Wheel and enjoy the two spins they’ve been granted to try their luck.
