With the "Multimedia Contest" application, administrators have the possibility to organize an internal vote so that a selected jury can vote on the photos or videos uploaded by users in the contest gallery. In this way, only the members of the jury will be able to access the gallery, which will not be visible to the rest of the users, in order to vote there.
To vote, the members of the jury will be requested to identify themselves through the Login screen of the contest and register through the registration form. Once registered, the judges will access the requirement screen, where they will be asked to enter a code as a password, and will then be authorized to access the photo or video gallery of the contest, to proceed and vote.
In this tutorial we explain how you can configure an exclusive voting gallery for your jury and how to access the votes details once the voting phase is over.

To enable a jury to cast their votes in the contest internally, the contest administrator will follow the steps detailed below.
Step 1. Create a “Multimedia Gallery / Voting” stage
The first step will be to create the gallery where the photos or videos of the contest to be voted on by the jury will be presented.
To do this, follow the steps described below:
1. Enter the Editor of your promotion > Pages > Participation stages and click on the “New stage” button to add a “Multimedia Gallery / Voting” stage:
2. Once the stage has been selected, you will access the stage management panel. Click on the pencil icon to configure the stage you just added:

In the "Options" tab you will find some customization options, such as name of the stage, start and end date of voting, and very importantly, this is where you can define the frequency of voting, that is, you will be able to define the number of votes that the jury will be able to cast and with what frequency (for example: 1 vote per day / 1 vote in total, etc.):
4. Next, enter the "Multimedia Gallery / Votes" tab, where you can select the multimedia content that you want to present to the jury to vote on.
Once you clicked on the tab, the following screen will appear where you will select the content you want to show in the gallery:
You will have two options:
- A) Show all the content of a stage: You will need to select which stage the entries will be coming from. The source stage can only be of the “Submit Multimedia Content” type.
- B) Show only a subset of content from the stage: You will select which stage is the source, and then select the content you want to show.
5. Once the content that will be displayed in the Gallery that the internal jury will see has been customized, the next step will be to configure the flow of the contest voting. To do so, customize the following options in the "Voting" section:
- Enable voting system: This option allows you to activate the voting of the entries that appear in the Gallery that you have just created.
- Jury mode: This option limits the access to the gallery and the votes to the internal jury of the contest.
- Show the ranking of the most voted: Optionally, if you check this option, you can enable a ranking of the most voted photos (only the jury can see it).
- Voting type: This option allows you to configure how you want the voting system to work in your contest. You can choose between: Simple votes (1 vote = 1 point): With this type of voting, for each image voted, the system will assign 1 point to the participant. Additionally, you can configure the minimum and maximum number of images that the jury can vote on (minimum 1, maximum 10). Advanced votes (1 vote = X points): In this type of voting, the jury will be able to assign a different number of points for the different images they vote for. To do this, you will have previously configured the different levels and number of points distributed in each. Example: You can create three levels, with the following scores for each level:
- Level 1: 1 point.
- Level 2: 5 points.
- Level 3: 10 points.
In this way, having created 3 voting levels, it means that the jury will be able to vote up to 3 images, and will be able to decide which images will assign them 1, 5 and 10 points respectively.
Step 2. Configure a password to access the jury gallery
Once the Gallery stage where the entries will be presented is enabled and the voting flow of the jury is configured, the next step is to configure the "Requirement to validate a code", which is necessary to limit the access to the members of the jury.
You will provide each member of the jury with the access password so that no one else will be able to enter the gallery and votation.
- Do you want to add a participation requirement?: Here you will select the option "Validate a code"
- When do you want to apply the requirement?: Here select the option "Only in the first participation". This way, in case the members of the jury will need to enter to vote on several occasions, they only have to enter the password the first time. You can also select “on each participation”, in this case they will have to type in the password every time.
- Field label: Customize the text field where the judges will enter the password with clear instructions.
- Choose the code validation: Select the "Use a unique code" option if you want all the judges to use the same access code.
- Unique code: Enter here the password that you will then share with your jury members.
- Codes are one use only: Finally, uncheck this option so that all judges can use the same access code or password.
Once these options are configured, the access and visibility of the Gallery will be protected and limited to users with the configured password.
Step 3. Verify that the Gallery is not public
Finally, as a last step, we will review that the voting Gallery is only accessible and visitble to the members of the jury, who will be requested to enter with the password that was just configured in the Step 2.
To do this, as you have previously enabled the "Jury mode" option in the “Multimedia Gallery / Votes” tab, by default the system will prevent the gallery from being shown publicly when users access the homepage of the contest, as to avoid confusions and regular users trying to enter the exclusive gallery for your judges.
To facilitate access to the jury, an access link to the members of the jury will be displayed at the bottom of the page. When clicking, they will need to identify themselves, fill in the registration form and finally enter the password to access the gallery and vote.
From the "Users" section of the promotion, you will be able to see at any point how the vote is going.
Specifically, once you have entered the "Users" section, click on "Votes" and select the stage corresponding to the gallery where votes took place:
There, you will see the list of entries in the gallery, and for each photo / video, you can see the score obtained and can sort by “points” in order to see the users with the most votes. Furthermore, by clicking on "View", you will be able to see the details and names of the members of the jury who have voted for this entry:
The two following options are also available under this section:
- Export all votes: This option allows you to download in a list all the votes made by the members of the jury, where for each judge you can see the details of which entry they voted.
- Export results: This option allows you to download a list with the final results of the voting, where a classification of the participants is presented, ordered according to the score (votes) given by the jury.
