Tutorial - How to Import Locations in Bulk Follow
For the Locations tool, the editor includes a feature that allows you to import, in bulk, the physical points where users will participate from a file: stores, businesses, fairs, etc.
This tool allows you to list all locations in a spreadsheet or text file and import them all at once. Prepare the list of locations in a spreadsheet editor such as Excel and follow this format:
- Create a CSV or text file with one column per piece of information, separated by commas or semicolons.
- Each line corresponds to one point of sale.
- In the first column, enter the name of the point of sale.
- In the following columns, we recommend including the address, city, and postal code in the desired order, so that the system can automatically geolocate the location. You can also include additional information so that users can contact the venues, such as a phone number, website, etc.
- It is also recommended to include the access password for the point of sale and/or the location’s security PIN if you plan to use Easypromos to redeem prizes and coupons. Depending on the validation method and campaign dynamic, this password or PIN code may be used by employees to validate the prize or by users themselves from their mobile device. If these details are not provided, they will be generated automatically and can be edited manually afterwards.
- Valid formats of the file: CSV, TXT.
- Maximum file size: 150 MB.
Here is an example of a file containing 3 locations:
Once the file is ready, access your promotion editor > Locations > Select the "Import locations from a file" option.
When uploading locations in bulk in the promotion once you have selected the file, you can link the different columns of the file with the information fields of the locations, assigning each imported column to the corresponding field:
Once the locations have been created, you can edit them by selecting the pencil icon or view the security PIN and password by selecting the padlock icon.
