We have added a new feature to the Instagram Giveaways that allows you to update the comments on a post after the giveaway has been created in your Easypromos account.

This option restores a feature that was previously available and allows you to import only the new comments posted since the last import, without having to import all of the post’s comments again.

This makes the update process much faster and more efficient, especially for giveaways created before the participation period has ended.

Update a giveaway’s comments

Once an Instagram Giveaway has been created, you’ll find the new “Update” option on the configuration screen, next to the number of imported comments.

When you click this button, Easypromos will check the Instagram post and import only the new comments that haven't been imported to the giveaway previously.

This feature allows you to keep the participant list up to date without having to create a new giveaway or perform a complete import of all the comments again.

When is it useful to update comments?

This option is especially useful in two situations:

• When the giveaway was created before the participation period ended. For example, if the administrator wants to prepare and configure the giveaway in advance or test how it works while the post is still receiving entries. Once the participation period ends, they can update the comments to add the latest entries received.
• When recurring giveaways are carried out on the same Instagram post. For example, if you want to select one winner every hour. Once the first giveaway has ended, the administrator can use the option to create a new giveaway based on the previous one, exclude the winners already selected, and then update the comments to add the new entries received since the last giveaway.

This makes it possible to manage promotions much more efficiently when the same post continues to accumulate new comments throughout the participation period.

Note: The comment update feature is available for both Instagram Giveaways and Multi-Network Giveaways. Keep in mind that the update only allows you to import new comments from Instagram posts.
