Two new features have been implemented for the "Multimedia Contest" application:

1. Sort media gallery content
2. Customize the name of the participation

1. Sort media gallery content

From now on, the promotion administrator can select the order in which the entries of the contet will appear in the multimedia gallery. Specifically, you can choose from the following sorting options:

• From newest to oldest (by default)
• From oldest to newest
• Alphabetically by participant's name (A-Z)
• Alphabetically by participant's name (Z-A)
• Randomly

The order of gallery entries can be configured by following the steps below:

1. Access the Editor of the promotion > Stages of participation section.

2. There, select the stage of the Multimedia Gallery.

3. Click then on the "Multimedia Gallery / Votes" tab.

4. You will find the option "Order of entries in the gallery".

2. Customize the name shown in the Gallery entries

A second new feature has been added to the platform, that allows you to have control of the name of each contest entry, shown as follows:

By default, this text corresponds to the name of the user who registered and uploaded the photo or video. Although until now there was the option to hide this name, we have now implemented an improvement, which allows you to customize the name of the participation through a new text field that will be requested at the time of uploading the participation, so that you can configure the name of the participation to be displayed in the gallery to match the value of this text field.

Practical example: A Multimedia Contest of musical bands is organized. You can request the participants to indicate the band name in an extra text field when uploading their entry. You can configure the band name to be the name that appears as the entry name in the Gallery.

It is an ideal feature when the organizer configures a Multimedia Contest with a "Pick your favorite" dynamic. With this feature, the organizer will be able to upload all the entries under the same session, displaying the name of the candidate to be voted for. This way, the name of the organizer will not appear in the public gallery, only the nominated/entry's author. 

To configure this option you must follow 2 steps:

Step 1: Add an extra field in the "Submit your participation" stage

1. Access the Editor of the promotion > Stages of participation section.

2. Here, select the Upload content stage.

3. Click then on the "Submit multimedia content" tab.

4. Enter then the "Step 2-Additional information" tab.

5. Create the additional text field in order to request the name of the participant.

Step 2: Select the extra field as the field to show the name of the participation

1. In the promotion Editor > Stages of participation.

2. Select the Multimedia Gallery/Voting stage.

3. Next, click on the "Multimedia Gallery/Voting" tab.

4. In the option "Do you want to show the name in the participation?" select the extra text field you created in the Step 1.
