An update was uploaded today to the platform that affects the Test Mode, the tool that allows the administrator to carry out a real test of the promotion before activating it: in case the promotion has emails configured in the Email Platform, from now on, all emails will always be sent to the email address of the agent who created the promotion.
That is, the emails will not be sent to the address specified by the testing user at the time of participating.
The change has been applied for security reasons, so that any communication by email will always be made to the email of the creator of the promotion, instead of the email of the participating user who performs the test.
In this way:
- If the promotion uses the email Login with validation, the verification email will be sent to the agent who created the promotion.
- If an automatic email was configured to be sent when winning a direct prize, the email will be sent to the creator of the promotion instead of the participating user of the test.
- In case of automating an email after registering, the email will be sent to the creator of the promo, instead of the participating user who registers in the test.
To run tests including sending the emails to the user’s email addresses, it will be necessary to activate the promotion and do the final tests with the promotion already activated.
