Multi-Stage type promotions present the "stage distribution screen", which users access after registration. This screen shows all the stages of the promotion, accessible or not, depending on the dates configured by the administrator.

In this way, the default behavior in Multi-Stage promotions is to take the user directly to the Stage Distribution Screen after registering, to present the user with the stages available to participate. However, in the event that there is only one stage to display (for example, it may happen if by date there is only one active stage, or if there is only one visible stage), the default behavior of the system is to take the user directly to the stage. of participation that is active, thus bypassing the Stage Distribution Screen.

A new option has been implemented that allows the administrator to decide if they want to keep this behavior by default, that is, make the automatic redirection to the only active stage, or have the user go through the stage distribution screen even if there is only one active stage.

This new option corresponds to the "Do not force automatic redirection to a stage if it is the only one visible" checkbox and is found under the "Layout" tab within the Participation Stages configuration page:

When can it be useful to enable this option?

If you are organizing a long-term Multi-Stage promotion with recurring promotions, you may want users to always go through the stage distribution screen, even if only one stage is visible at a time. In this way, when accessing the promotion the user will clearly see which stage is active at that moment and will be more aware of the stage they are participating in.
