The Email and Notifications platform 2.0, the tool that enables sending emails to users participating in the promotion, has been updated and a new type of email can now be created. The administrator can now configure emails to be sent "upon winning a prize".  

This type of email is sent automatically when a user wins a prize in the promotion, and it can also be used to create a notification for the administrator when a participant wins a prize. 

This new type of emails applies to the following types of prize assignments:

1. Direct prizes, which include:

• Instant Win Prizes
• Prizes distributed "Upon participating"
• Prizes distributed "by probability"

2. Prizes assigned manually: automate the sending of an email when the promotion administrator manually assigns prizes to users. Example: the administrator selects a segment of users and reward them in bulk by assigning them a voucher. With the activation of the "Upon winning a prize" email, each user will automatically receive an email with the voucher. 

Note: this new type of email is not sent and does not apply to prizes of the "By random draw" type. In other words, the system will never automatically send this email when the winners are determined through a random draw.

Important: This type of email can only be set up when the promotion has the user participation flow enabled in "Identified Mode", where the user first identifies and registers and then participates. It is not possible to configure this type of email with the participation flow in "Visitor Mode.

How to configure this new type of email?

To create this new type of email, the first step is to access the Email platform of your promotion, then click the "Create a new email" button and select the "Upon winning a prize" option.

Next, after entering the email title, the following step is to configure the "Conditions" section, where you must:

1. Apply the condition "Has won a prize".

2. Select the type of prize assignment, which can be:

• Direct prize: includes all prizes that are assigned to the users directly upon participating
  • "Upon participating" prizes
  • "Instant Win" prizes
  • "By probability" prizes
• Manual assignment prizes
• "By virtual coins" prizes [Coming soon]

3. Next, select whether you want to send the same email for all prizes or only for a specific prize. 

4. Finally, you can create the content of the email and customize it using smart tags to display personalized information for each user, such as their name, the name of the prize won, etc.
