The "Multimedia Contest" application has been updated to offer more participation mechanics. Specifically, two new content formats have been added that users can upload to the contest:

1. Text only content
2. Content based on an external link

1. Text only content

Allows the user to participate in the contest by providing text-only content. The text provided by the user will be displayed inside a box, with a background color the administrator can configure from the Promotion Editor. Up to 5 different colors can be configured, to allow users to customize their entries:

The user will be able to choose what color they want to use as the background of their text content:

We recommend using this field to ask users for texts of a maximum of 3,000 characters (about 500 words). For longer texts it is recommended to use the field to upload PDF files.

2. Content based on an External Link

Allows the user to enter the contest with an external link, along with a title (by default the domain of the link) and an optional description, to let viewers know more about the link/website that was shared.

The content will be presented as textual content, so it will also appear inside a box with a background color, and in the same way, the user can also choose a color from the palette of max. five colors configured by the administrator:

Both options can be combined with the other content formats available for the Multimedia Contest, namely photo or video content, PDF or YouTube videos.

In this way, in case you allow multiple formats in the contest, users will be presented with the available options and will select the type of content they want to participate with:
