The Multi-Network Giveaway app allows you to add participants from social profiles that you're not an admin of, to a giveaway that you've created. The system will let you send an invitation to the admin of the profile that you want to import participants from so that the admin can select the post and add it to the giveaway.

This feature is ideal in the following situations: 

1. Co-branded giveaways: 2 or more brands that organize a joint giveaway, and each brand post about the giveaway on their social networks.
2. Giveaway with influencers: Brands that use an influencer to promote their products through a giveaway.

What you should know before beginning:

• The system to send invitations to external collaborators is only available in the Multi-Network app which is available with the Basic PRO plan ($49/49€) or superior.
• This application can be used to import participants from the following:
  • Facebook comments
  • Instagram comments
• You can add unlimited collaborators to your giveaway, and the giveaway can accumulate a maximum of 25 publications in total.

Note: We recommend that you take the step of importing the comments from a laptop computer instead of a mobile device.

This tutorial describes the process of inviting an external collaborator in order to import participants from a social media profile that you're not an admin of.

Step 1. Access the control panel

Access the Easypromos Control Panel from this link. If you're not an Easypromos user, create an account and sign in to the control panel to create and manage your promotions.

Step 2. Create the Multi-Network Giveaway

Next, click on the "Create new promotion" button to start setting up your giveaway:

Now select "Multi-Network Giveaway":

Next, enter the organizer and the title of the giveaway and continue to step 3.

Step 3. Import posts from profiles you manage

The first step is to import the post from the social media profile that you are an admin of and that you want to include in the giveaway. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Select the social network where the post is published.

2. Next, you can select the giveaway post to import the participants.

3. On the right, you will see the posts that have been included in the giveaway. 

When the participants have been imported, we get to the next step where we can send the invitation to the collaborator that we want to add to the giveaway.

Step 4. Import posts from profiles that you do not administrate

To add a post from a social profile you do not manage to the giveaway, you must send an invitation to the administrator of that profile. This allows them to connect their account and select the post or posts they authorize for use in the giveaway. The collaborator does not need to have an Easypromos account.

How does it work?

1. You can create an invitation for the collaborator, customize it with a message, and send it via any channel you prefer (email, WhatsApp, etc.).
2. When opening the invitation, the collaborator must log in with their Instagram account, select the post they want to authorize for the giveaway, and define how long the organizer will be able to access it.
3. Once the collaborator accepts the invitation, you will receive a confirmation email. From that moment on, you will be able to access the authorized posts and continue with the giveaway process.

Note: You can add unlimited collaborators to your giveaway, and the giveaway can accumulate a maximum of 25 publications in total.

Do you need the same collaborator to add posts from different profiles?

In case you have to add posts from different profiles or social networks managed by the same collaborator, you must create a different invitation link for each profile.

Example: If the same collaborator must add three posts from three different accounts, you will have to create three different invitation links. For each link, the collaborator will be able to log in with each profile and select the posts that he needs to add to the giveaway. 

Step 5. Finalization of the giveaway and the next steps

When all the participants of the giveaway have been imported, you can continue to select the winners. To do that, you can follow the Multi-Network Giveaway tutorial from step 3.

Practical case: How to carry out a giveaway only with a post from a social media profile that you're not an admin of

If the giveaway is based exclusively on a post from a profile you do not manage (for example, a brand running a giveaway with an influencer to promote a product), you can also create an invitation without having previously selected any of your own posts.

To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Create the giveaway and click the button to connect to Instagram.

2. In the connected accounts manager window, click directly on the “Invite collaborator” option:

3. Create the invitation and share it with the collaborator or influencer, then close the current giveaway.

4. Once the collaborator has accepted the invitation, create a new Multi-Network Giveaway and, when clicking the Instagram button, the collaborator’s account will appear in the connected accounts manager so you can select it.

How to help your external collaborators to accept the invitation and add their post to the giveaway

The external collaborator of your giveaway will not need to have an Easypromos account or sign up, as they only need to open the invitation link you provide and follow the on-screen steps indicated by the system. However, it may be advisable to guide them through the process to ensure their post is correctly added to the giveaway.

The steps the collaborator must follow are:

1. They must open the invitation link you have provided. This link will open in a browser window.
2. The first step will be to connect their Instagram account.
3. Next, they will be able to select the post they want to authorize for the giveaway and define how long the organizer will be able to access it.
4. Finally, once the post has been selected, the collaborator can close the page, as no further action is required.

What to do if the Instagram profile of your collaborator is not a business profile

If the Instagram profile of your collaborator is a personal or creator profile, they will not be able to connect their Instagram account to import their publication to the giveaway.

In order to fix this case, we must ask the collaborator to switch their Instagram profile - either personal or creator - to a business profile so he can link it with a Facebook page. This will allow them to add their publication to the giveaway.

In order to do this, in the process of switching the profile to a business profile, Instagram will ask them to connect a Facebook page. They can connect an already created page, or if they don't own one, they can create a new page. Once the Facebook page has been linked to the Instagram profile, the Facebook page can be unpublished if they don't need it to be active.
