The "Instagram Giveaway" app allows you to filter and exclude users from the finalist list to have full control over which users can enter the final giveaway. Specifically, the exclusion options available to you are the following:

1. Minimum number of mentions required per user

2. Exclude users with more than one hashtag

3. Exclude blacklisted users

4. Exclude previous winners

5. Exclude specific users

1. Minimum number of mentions required per user

This option allows you to set as a requirement that users must include one or more mentions in the comment, so the system will exclude users who have not included the required number of mentions (up to 5 mentions) from the giveaway.

Use this feature to ask users to mention at least 3 of their friends in the comment, and only if they meet the requirement will they enter the giveaway. They can tag as many friends as they want, which will encourage the virality and engagement of your giveaway.  

This requirement can be especially useful in combination with the option that allows you to give additional entries based on the number of mentions made by users in the comment. Check here how this option works.

Example: You can require users to include at least 1 mention in the comment and also assign an extra entry for the giveaway for each unique mention (up to a maximum of 10 unique mentions). That way, if a user includes one mention, they will enter the giveaway with 2 total entries (1 base entry + 1 extra entry). 

2. Exclude users with more than one hashtag

This option is available when the system detects hashtags in the comments imported from users. 

This requirement can be used in combination with the hashtag detection tool, which allows you to limit the giveaway to users who have used a specific hashtag. Check here how this option works. 

Note: This option is limited to giveaways with a maximum of 10,000 comments.

3. Exclude users from the blacklist

This allows you to add users who use bad practices to your blacklist and exclude them all at once from any giveaway, without needing to search for them one by one. You will always have the blacklist available since it is associated with your Easypromos administrator account.

4. Exclude previous winners

This option allows you to prevent the same user from winning more than one giveaway among the different giveaways you run.

You can define the time limit for the past winners to exclude:

• Last month.
• Last 2 months.
• Last 6 months.
• Last year.
• Last 2 years.
• Always.

5. Exclude specific users

If in a giveaway you want to exclude a specific user because they do not comply with the rules, you can manually exclude them from the participant list. 

To do this, you must click on "View," which will open a pop-up window with the list of imported comments. There you can use the search tool to find the user and then check the box to exclude them from the giveaway:
