Tutorial: How to Create a Twitter Giveaway Follow
Easypromos allows you to carry out giveaways on Twitter to retain and increase your community of followers, generate traffic to your profile and quickly make your content go viral. The platform will allow you to carry out different types of giveaways:

Retweets Giveaways: There are two modalities for this type of raffles:

a) Giveaways among all users who retweeted or quote retweeted one (1) tweet during a specific period.

b) Giveaways among all users who retweeted any tweet from a brand and included a specific #hashtag during a specific period.

Replies Giveaways: Raffle a prize among all users who responded to one (1) tweet of the brand during a specific period.

Hashtag + mention Giveaways: Raffle a prize among all users who posted a tweet mentioning your brand and included a specific #hashtag during a specific period.
You will be able to make the random draw in a quick and efficient manner and publish the winners page to easily communicate the winners.
Relevant information before launching your giveaway:

The Twitter Giveaway app is only accessible to customers with a Basic PRO or superior plan.

Finalist tweets must have been shared within the last 7 days.
-
The maximum number of winners and alternates that can be obtained is 10 (between winners and alternates).
- Each Easypromos account is limited to 4 Twitter draws per month. In case you need to make more than 4 draws per month, please contact our commercial team, which will evaluate the case individually.
- The maximum number of users that can be excluded per draw is 10. The organizer may manually exclude the users or select them from their user blacklist or from their list of former winners.
The content of this tutorial is organised as follows:
1. Twitter Giveaways types
The platform will allow you to run the following types of draws:
1.1. Retweets Giveaway
There are two modalities for this type of giveaways:

a) Giveaways among all users who retweeted or quote retweeted one (1) tweet during a specific period.

b) Giveaways among all users who retweeted any tweet from a brand and included a specific #hashtag during a specific period.
1.2. Replies Giveaways
Allows you to Raffle a prize among all users who responded to one (1) tweet of the brand during a specific period.
1.3. Hashtag + mention Giveaways
Allows you to raffle a prize among all users who posted a tweet mentioning your brand and included a specific #hashtag during a specific period.
2. Completion of the giveaway
Step 1. Access the Easypromos dashboard
Access your Easypromos account through this link. Create an account if you are not a user and enter your admin panel to manage and create your promotions.
Step 2. Create the giveaway
Next, we explain the steps to create and configure your promotion:
1. Click the "Create New Promotion" button to start creating the giveaway.
2. Select the “Twitter giveaway” application.
3. You will then be presented with the draw configuration screen. As a first step, you will need to create an organizing brand and add a title of the draw. The organizing brand is independent of any social network and works as a folder within your Easypromos account to help you organise the draws you create.
4. Click the “Connect with Twitter” button, to authorize Easypromos to access to your Twitter account.
5. Next, you can choose the type of Twitter draw you want to perform:
A. Retweets giveaway
There are two modalities for this type of giveaways:
A.1. Retweet giveaway based on a Tweet of your account. Includes quoted tweets.
Allows you to raffle a prize among all users who retweeted or quote retweeted one (1) tweet during a specific period.
To get started, you’ll need to enter the tweet URL:
A.2. Retweet giveaway of any tweet of your account which includes a specific #hashtag.
Allows you to raffle a prize among all users who retweeted any tweet shared by the brand and included a specific #hashtag during a specific period.
First, you will need to enter the hashtag:
B. Giveaway based on users Tweets, including a mention to the brand’s account and a specific #hashtag.
Allows you to run the draw among all users who posted a tweet mentioning your brand and including a #hashtag during a specific period.
To start, enter the hashtag of the campaign:
By default, retweets are not included in this type of draw, only original tweets. But you have the option to also include retweets made to tweets including the mention to the account along with the hashtag, checking the following box:
C. Replies giveaway
Allows you to run a draw among all users who reply to a (1) brand tweet during a specific period.
To get started, you’ll need to enter the tweet URL:
6. Once you have selected the type of draw you want to make, you will be presented with the following options:
1. Select a time zone. As a mandatory step, you must select the time zone of the draw.
2. Select the date when users started participating. The Twitter API limits Tweets search to a maximum of 7 days old from the date you create the draw on your account. This option will allow you to indicate from which date you want to start collecting the participations.
3. Select the date the participation ended. This option allows you to indicate up to what date you want to import retweets made.
4. Exclude users. The system allows you to exclude up to 10 users in the draw. The system allows you to:

Enter the users you want to exclude manually.

Select the users you want to exclude from your list of past winners from draws you ran previously.

Select the users you want to exclude from your blacklist.
Note: All tweets from your account user are excluded by default.
Step 3. Define the number of winners and alternates
The next step will be to indicate how many winners you need to get, and also configure how many substitutes you want. We always recommend requesting alternate winners for an easier and more efficient management of the prizes.
Note: The total sum between winners and alternates cannot exceed 10.
Do you have different prizes to draw?
With the option "Customize prizes" you can add the different types of prizes that you want to distribute, and for each prize, you can define the number of winners you want to obtain (taking into account that you can get a maximum of 10 winners in total).
To manage the different prizes in your draw, click on "Customize prizes". A pop-up will open where you can define the name and number of units of each of the prizes:
Step 4. Finalise the draw
Once you are ready to complete the process, the system will allow you to complete it to obtain the winners and alternates. Click on the "Continue" button to confirm and run the draw randomly.
Step 5. Prepare to announce the winners
Congratulations! You've successfully completed the giveaway. Your browser will display a screen with the results. Now you can start thinking about announcing the winners publicly and sharing the prize.
A. "Winners and Alternates" section:
Here will be presented the list of the winners and alternates of the draw. From here you can also perform the following actions:
1. Check out the names of the winners and alternates who have been randomly selected. For each winner and substitute you can also consult their data regarding their Twitter user, such as:

Their number of followers.

Number of users followed by the winner.
-
Number of tweets published.
-
Number of lists that the user is a member of.
2. Manage winners and change them, if necessary. If for some reason the winning user is not valid or cannot cash out the prize, by clicking on the "Manage" button you can make a substitution for one of the alternate winners.
B. "Winners publication" section:
When you create a promotion with Easypromos, the tool generates two very important links:

Certificate of Validity. A Certificate of Validity is created, guaranteeing that a single, random giveaway has been carried out. This certificate cannot be modified. Share it with your followers to show that your brand is transparent and trustworthy.

Winners Page. Easypromos creates a microsite to display winners and alternates of the giveaway. Share this page to announce the results! You can even customize the page for your branding and design.
In addition, you will also be able to share a short video of the draw, using the “Show mode” tool. This option allows you to present the results of a giveaway in an animated format to show the winners in a more fun way and add a point of surprise and fun to your draws. Click on the pencil icon to edit or customize the Winners Page:
C. "Claim your prize" section:
Do you want the winners to be able to confirm their details and claim their prize? You can set up and activate this section to aid in the prize-awarding process. This way, users who visit the Winners Page will be able to claim the prize on their screens, verifying their details and confirming that they're interested in receiving their reward.
To enable it, click on the "Enable" button and follow the steps indicated in this tutorial to customize all module options.
Step 6. Announce the winners
When the Winners Page is ready, share it across social media. You can copy the Winners Page URL and share it directly.
Step 7. Manage Winners and Alternates
The Winners and Alternates page helps you to make the most of the information that your promotion has collected. You can:

See who has claimed their prize, and view any personal details they’ve provided.

Download all the information provided by prizewinners to an Excel file.
